How does a Dermaplane work?

Dermaplaning is an advanced exfoliation technique that uses a sterile surgical blade to gently remove dead skin and peach fuzz from the face & neck. There is no downtime, no discomfort, and glowing results are instant! While Dermaplaning is often well tolerated, it may not be suitable for everyone. Book a free consultation if you want tailored guidance on what treatment is best for you!

Does Dermaplane make hair grow back thicker?

Contrary to popular belief, Dermaplaning cannot make your hair grow back thicker or darker. While you may notice when the peach fuzz starts to grows back, it will return to it’s previous texture & density. The only thing that can transform peach fuzz to coarse hair is hormonal changes (like puberty).

Do Chemical Peels hurt?

Depending on the peel you choose, you may experience varying levels of discomfort. Superficial feels mostly create an “itchy” or warm feeling, while deep peels can cause significantly more heat and discomfort. We will always communicate with you during your treatment to ensure your comfort. Book a free consultation if you want tailored guidance on what peel is best for you!

faq

How does Liquid Microneedling work?

Similar to traditional Microneedling, Liquid Microneedling works by creating a controlled, microscopic wound in the skin using microscopic sea sponge particles called spicules. These particles burrow into the skin and dissolve over the course of 24-48 hours, leaving behind skin-loving vitamins and minerals. The result is collagen stimulation and accelerated rejuvenation.

How long does it take to recover from Liquid Microneedling?

The recovery for Liquid Microneedling is usually minimal and lasts anywhere from 2-10 days depending on how aggressively you are treated. Most clients experience mild to moderate discomfort the day-of and the day following the treatment, with some level of redness & inflammation. Clients who experience more generalized skin dryness may experience mild peeling. Book a free consultation if you want tailored guidance on what treatment your recovery may look like!

How often do I need to get Liquid Microneedle treatments?

Depending on the severity of your concerns, we will likely recommend a series of 3 Liquid Microneedle sessions, 4-6 weeks apart. Most clients need at least one session per year to maintain their results.

Who shouldn’t get a Liquid Microneedling treatment?

Liquid Microneedling is uniquely safe for most patients - even those who are pregnant & breastfeeding! People who should not get the treatment include: those with a shellfish allergy, anyone with highly inflamed or compromised skin, and anyone with an active HSV flare. How does Microneedling work?

How long does it take to recover from Microneedling?

Luckily, we offer both our superficial MicroRefresh treatment, as well as more corrective Medical Microneedling. Book a free consultation if you want tailored guidance on what treatment is best for you!

What’s the difference between a Micro-Refresh & a medical Microneedle service?

Our Micro-Refresh treatment is ideal for those who want to rejuvenate their skin without the downtime of a medical Microneedle. While this treatment still involves topical numbing, it is less aggressive than a medical Microneedle and the downtime is very minimal to none at all. Most clients will leave the service with some inflammation, but this usually subsides over the course of 2 days with minimal dryness. This is perfect for those struggling with superficial skin texture and dullness - think: more aggressive than a facial but not as resurfacing as a corrective Microneedle!
