Herbalism FAQ
-
Clinical herbalism is a practice rooted in the assessment of the whole person - your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and constitution - to create individualized herbal treatment plans. It goes well beyond recommending a single herb off a shelf or “matching” a symptom to an herb. At Saturn's Daughter Apothecary, every herbal recommendation is made in the context of your full health picture, formulated specifically for you, and supported throughout your treatment plan.
-
Bailey has been a Certified Clinical Herbalist since 2014, completing 2 complete certification programs in both 2014 and 2019 and continuing education through the American Herbalist Guild throughout that time. She has logged more than 10,000 hours in active practice and education over 10+ years

Our treatment is based on 1-month and 3-month plans to suit varying financial and wellness goals. The process begins with a 75-minute intake appointment, from which our Herbalist will create custom formulations that suit your needs. We are available to you for support throughout the duration of your treatment.
-
No. In fact, at Saturn’s Daughter Apothecary our approach welcomes combined support from primary care physicians, specialists, and other holistic health providers.
Herbal medicine can safely support alongside conventional medical treatment and pharmaceuticals. During your intake, we'll discuss everything you're currently taking so we can formulate safely and identify any relevant herb-drug interactions. We always recommend keeping your primary care provider informed of any new additions to your wellness plan.
-
Common areas of support include hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, chronic stress and burnout, inflammatory conditions, skin health, immune support, and general wellness. If you're unsure whether herbalism is right for your situation, the best first step is a consultation.
-
This varies significantly depending on the condition, the individual, and the consistency of use. Some people notice shifts within a few weeks; deeper or more chronic conditions typically take longer to respond. Herbal medicine is not a quick fix (nor should it be viewed the same as pharmaceutical intervention). It’s a process of gradually supporting the body toward balance. We'll discuss realistic timelines during your consultation.
-
Both!
The apothecary carries ready-made blends available for purchase anytime, and custom formulations are created for clients as part of a treatment plan following an intake appointment.
-
The ingredients used in our formulations are sourced from trusted, regenerative suppliers, our own garden and sustainable wild-crafting, and local farms.
While we do not divulge these sacred relationships to the public, we can confirm that the ingredients used in our formulations are picked as seasonably, sustainably, and respectfully as possible.
Online shopping FAQ
-
A. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please email us within 30 days of your original purchase date at Info@SaturnsDaughter.com with your order details and your reason for the return. We will work with you to either replace the item or offer you store credit for future purchases. Custom formulations are non-refundable, but we will work to make your experience positive and discuss options for replacement.
-
We recommend making purchases online as our clinic is appointment-only. Current patients may select in-person pickup to collect their order at their scheduled appointment.
-
At this time, we do not offer the purchase of bulk herbs or extracts. Our focus is on creating custom formulations and treatment within our clinic, versus a retail shopping experience.
For Longmont-based bulk herb shopping, we recommend visiting our friends at Blackbird House in downtown Longmont.
-
Products are best stored in a clean, dry space and out of direct sunlight.
Clinic FAQ
-
We are accepting new patients on a limited, case-by-case basis. To begin, submit a new patient inquiry through our website. If it appears to be a good fit, you'll be contacted to schedule a consultation.
The consultation is where we get to know your health history and goals, and from there we'll create a holistic treatment plan customized to you.
-
Absolutely.
Saturn’s Daughter is proudly queer-owned and operated. We affirm all genders, sexualities, and individuals and we do not work with patients that we know to cause harm within the queer community.
-
Yes! We recommend patients in wheelchairs park in the east public parking lot located between 2nd and 3rd avenues. Our building has an elevator, ADA compliant restrooms, and we can accommodate mobility needs for treatment. Please contact us ahead of time at info@saturnsdaughter.com to ensure we have the opportunity to make your visit as comfortable as possible.
-
We do. We offer both virtual skin support and virtual wellness coaching.
-
We offer a 24-hour cancellation policy.
We appreciate the patronage of each patient and request the same value for our skilled service.
Should you cancel outside of our 24-hour window, you will be charged the full price of your service or forfeit the service on your package/membership. A credit card must be on file to schedule an appointment. Appointment arrivals more than 15 minutes late will be considered a "no-show" and charged for the full price of the service.
-
For in-person treatments, we kindly request that you do not bring your children to your session. Our space contains biohazards and medical equipment and we cannot be responsible for your child’s safety if you are receiving a service.
That said, we do offer virtual skin support and wellness coaching to give you the upmost care while you are still able to care for your kiddo.
-
