faq
How does Microneedling work?
Microneedling works by creating a controlled, microscopic wound in the skin and triggering the body’s natural healing response - collagen production! When the body sends collagen to the treatment area, the skin is rejuvenated and concerns like laxity, scarring, and fine lines are reduced.
How long does it take to recover from Microneedling?
The recovery for Microneedling is anywhere from 2-10 days depending on how aggressively you are treated. Luckily, we offer both our superficial MicroRefresh treatment, as well as more corrective Medical Microneedling. Book a free consultation if you want tailored guidance on what treatment is best for you!
How often do I need to get Microneedle treatments?
Depending on the severity of your concerns, we will likely recommend a series of 3 Microneedle sessions, 4-6 weeks apart. Most clients need at least one Microneedle per year to maintain their results.
What’s the difference between a Micro-Refresh & a medical Microneedle service?
Our Micro-Refresh treatment is ideal for those who want to rejuvenate their skin without the downtime of a medical Microneedle. While this treatment still involves topical numbing, it is less aggressive than a medical Microneedle and the downtime is very minimal to none at all. Most clients will leave the service with some inflammation, but this usually subsides over the course of 2 days with minimal dryness. This is perfect for those struggling with superficial skin texture and dullness - think: more aggressive than a facial but not as resurfacing as a corrective Microneedle!
